Post about our Road to Freedom national speaking tour across the U.S.
This week, we presented six talks to notable corporations including Winston & Strawn law firm, Edelman and others as well as to representatives of several companies at an ethics & compliance event at the Chicago Regional Business Ethics Network.
We have been on the road for 36 days. It’s hard to believe that more than a month ago, we drove down the Westcoast – Washington, Oregon, California – from Vancouver, where we had a wonderful kick off at Tenth Church & Westwood Church, then on to Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois.
It’s been one long blur of speaking at companies, churches, Rotary gatherings or universities; and driving for as long as 5 to 7 hours at times. We have met hundreds, if not thousands of people by now.
We are a little worn out, but the response has been more than we had expected and we’re witnessing the beginnings of a new justice movement in America. What is needed is for these groups in different cities and states to be connected for greater impact.
We’re in St. Louis this week, then on to Tennessee. Stay tuned!!
